Nasim calls Jama'at a ‘criminal’ party
Published : Tuesday, 29 January 2013

Terming Bangladesh Jama'at-e-Islami a 'militant and criminal party', Awami League (AL) presidium member Mohammad Nasim on Monday said time has come now to think of banning it from doing politics, reports UNB.

"It's time the Election Commission (EC), Jatiya Sangsad (JS) as well as country's people to think whether Jama'at can do politics on the soil of Bangladesh," he said.

The AL leader was addressing a discussion organised by Janatar Pratyasha at Dhaka Reporters' Unity auditorium in the city.

Nasim, also former Home Minister, observed that confusion, rumour and false propaganda have faded away with the verdict of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) against Bachchu Razakar. "It was also proved that the trial against the war criminals is being held in a transparent way."

"Only this verdict isn't the end. The verdict will be executed. No one can stop the trial," he said.
